Becoming a Patient

  • Newborns

    • Please contact our office on the date of discharge. This will help to ensure that you will receive a timely first appointment. Bring any records from the hospital, as well as a "diaper bag" with diapers, a change of clothes, and a bottle of formula if you are not breastfeeding.

  • Patients transferring from another physician

    • We welcome new patients transferring into our office and want to help make this transition as smooth as possible. If your family is new to Yakima Pediatrics, please bring a copy of your child's medical records you, particularly their growth chart and vaccinations. The receptionist can make a copy of these to add to your child's chart while you are waiting to see the physician. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment in order to have enough time to complete the initial paperwork and bring your current insurance card with you, which will help us get you seen as quickly as possible. All new patients must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian for the initial visit.

  • Prenatal visits

    • CONGRATULATIONS! You are about to embark on one of life’s most challenging and joyous experiences. We understand how vital it is to find a doctor you feel comfortable with, and we invite you to visit and meet with us before your baby is born. Prenatal visits are a great opportunity to meet our team, tour our facilities, and ask questions or relay concerns regarding the birth of your child. We are happy to answer your questions and address any concerns. If you would like to schedule a prenatal visit, please contact us. Our receptionist will arrange a time that is convenient for your schedule.

What to Expect

A pleasant and comfortable first visit builds trust, which helps your little one be confident and calm during future appointments. We want your child to enjoy getting to know our doctors, so we work hard to establish this relationship during every visit to our office. During your initial appointment, we will explain everything in detail and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you and your child, and we embrace the privilege to serve and provide your family with the quality, comprehensive medical care you deserve.
